United Faith Leaders helped me to gain experience and helped strengthen my call in ministry. I was ordained while I was still in seminary, and while in school I was able to gain practical experience in officiating weddings, funerals, and other pastoral consultations. Being a part of United Faith Leaders would be an asset to every seminarian because it gives you an online profile that allows people the opportunity to seek you out for ministerial needs. Since joining United Faith Leaders I have performed over a dozen weddings and funerals, and it has helped to supplement my ministerial experience. -Rev. Ben Brown
The Church in America is caught in a once-in-a-hundred-year transition; the Industrial Age is giving way to the Information Age. We live in an entrepreneurial age for ministry. In this entrepreneurial season I am pleased that gifted and talented people like Jay McNeal are pushing the envelope and testing new possibilities for ministry in the future. United Faith Leaders is one of those organizations which invite us to consider a broader faith context for ministry. While disagreeing on some matters, surely people of faith and goodwill can join together on others for the betterment of the human family. -Dr. Ron Crawford, President, Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond
I’ve been serving the spiritual needs of people without faith communities for over fifteen years. What United Faith Leaders gave me was a broader audience to meet those needs in a way that has integrity and is relevant to our city. There are so many people out there who have faith, but do not feel comfortable in any established religion. It makes sense to meet those people where their needs are rather than waiting for them to grace the hallowed halls of our religious institutions. – Rev. Terry Gau
Jay is one of those people giving voice to a new place for a clergy practice within both the Christian community and the larger culture. I believe his ministry to be authentic, inviting, compassionate and wonderfully subversive. He’s one of the people whose work I follow. – The Rev. Dr. David J. Tetrault
Ben Brown was awesome! My husband and I wanted to be married in the snow. Ben came out and married us in 11 degree weather with 8 inches of snow, on a lake. He was very easy to talk to and his communication was great! You helped us make our marriage ceremony what we wanted it to be. Thanks Ben. Stacy and Mark
Jay McNeal has a strong passion for serving the spiritual needs of individuals who feel disconnected from traditional religious communities. It shows in the dynamic and insistent way he brings the gospel of love and acceptance to the entire community – no exceptions. – Rev. Terry Gau
